Approved code of practice: Safe practice for forestry and harvesting operations

The recently released Approved code of practice: Safe practice for forestry and harvesting operations  is highly relevant for those wood fuel suppliers working in forest areas. The updated ACOP replaces the 2012 version, aligning it with the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) 2015. It is less prescriptive, instead emphasising effective risk management and clear delineation of responsibilities for all Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBUs). It also combines technical health and safety knowledge with hands-on industry expertise, to set out practical guidance for everyone involved in forestry work.
