Wood energy operation wins 2014 EECA Supreme Energy award

 

 

K&L Nurseries a Christchurch family-run flower growing operation using wood fuel to produce heat for its operations has won top honours in the 2014 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) Awards. The project has cut the company’s energy costs by $100,000 a year, and is avoiding around 3,500 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year – giving the business a marketing edge. Read full article.
